It works but the cable is way too short!
I decided to ignore the previous reviews and went ahead and purchased this item. The power cable is way too short. Having the power cable and the USB cable on t I decided to ignore the previous reviews and went ahead and purchased this item. The power cable is way too short. Having the power cable and the USB cable on the same side of the hub, means the hub is dangling in mid air, because my power supply is not near the back of the iMac. Had they been on opposite sides, it would have been O.K. I just don't understand why manufacturers make the cables so short. Without the cable the product will not work and as far as I am aware, it is not possible to buy an extension to the power cable. I will be asking Belkin about this though. We buy from Apple because we trust them to offer us products fit for purpose, even if they come at a highly inflated price. On the plus side however, after plugging my WD passport into the hub, the iMac did recognise it immediately. I'm going to keep it as it does the job, but I expected better. Very disappointed.
