Just use [FireWire target mode|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1661], if possible, to connect the old machine to the new one and then use Migration Assistant to copy your stuff over. I would recommend reinstalling any third-party apps from scratch rather than relying on Migration Assistant to copy everything properly, though.

Using Migration Assistant Mac
Migration Assistant copies all of your files to your new Mac so that you don't have to copy your files manually. If your files are currently on a Windows PC, follow the PC migration steps instead.
