PS: While attempting to edit additional information to include above
the option to edit timed-out; so here's the other bit I hoped to add...
Place the installDVD into your Mac's optical drive. Installing OSX
Leopard requires you to boot from the LeopardInstallDVD.
The install DVD media cannot be from another build version Mac, has
to be correct to the hardware series (supported), either OEM part #s
or a later Retail version; only two OS X systems may run in PPC Mini.
And the correct or hoped-for installer would either be gray-label IF it
was shipped with Mac mini that you have, with its name & part # on
grey label. (if you've a Original mini-specific install-restore Tiger 10.4)
..Or retail Leopard 10.5 'X' label ~ such as shown in above article..
The steps are outlined in the above example. This path is different than
later Intel-based Mac and their progression upgrades now relies on the
use of internet recovery from Apple server; or foresight to use USB copy.
Another instruction (start the Mac with DVD in optical drive while holding
the C key down for many minutes, etc; to boot the Mac from Installer) is
in this linked page. Read through because these are not precise, so the
extra writing serves to confuse a bit... {somewhere I've better info.} Of
three pages here, I looked ahead. ~ Too late for me, here at 3 AM...
